Reading Bob’s last post, I was struck by something.
It was a hot pot of tea that my lady threw at me because I forgot to take out the garbage. After that was remedied, I was struck by something else.
Does Bob actually WATCH ads?
I called him out of the blue and acted all friendly-like. Found out he and the family were going out to Sonic to get some Tots and a couple cups of their world famous ice. So, onto the corporate jet I went.
I sat outside their house in a rented ice cream truck and waited for them to leave. Made sure the coast was clear, climbed up on the roof, drilled a large hole and jumped into the house. Well, first it was the attic but after drilling another hole, I was actually in their house. I didn’t want to use the folding down attic ladder for fear of making any noise.
Finally found what I was looking for and my suspicions were correct. They had only one tv, and it was a Goldstar from the 80’s. No cable box was hooked up to it, just a few plastic and wooden hangars taped haphazardly to the top.
Seems to me why Bob watches those political ads is because he can’t DVR his programs and fast forward thru the ads. He gets maybe five channels as long as nobody touches the “antenna”. Didn’t find any streaming devices either. That’s just weird.
Before I left, I moved some furniture around slightly and replaced all their silverware with plastic utensils.
Left thru the front door happy knowing that they would never suspect that someone was there.
As I flew home, I thought maybe he was talking about those political ads we all get in the mail. Didn’t have enough fuel to turn around and check out their garbage, so I’ll just leave that to another day.
