The Present

Stephen Jonhnson

Guess I’ll just talk about the present this week.

I did remember something from our glorious past earlier this week, but forgot what it was. Must be age catching up or that nasty head wound that still leaks a little and it’s been awhile now.

Went to get the mail this past Friday and noticed a dead spot on the lawn. Figured it was the nearby sprinkler since it wasn’t spitting out with any force at all, so I put it on my list of things to do for the next day.

Told a certain someone in the household about it and let me tell you about FinerAid. During these troubled times, we all need someone to talk to. FinerAid has just the people you’re looking for! They have licenses in some states and are ready to take you call. I just wish these people were around during the Cuban Missile Crisis because, boy, I could have needed their help then. Luckily they were around when my favorite team had another dismal season and they were also around when I got a CD in the mail and the case was cracked. I recently used them when I heard that Wally died, used them again when I found out he was still alive and then used them another time when he (supposedly) died again she gave me a weird look and said that maybe she shouldn’t have sprayed weed killer on the lawn since it probably was the stuff that also killed grass.

Changed the filter this morning and now it sprays fine and hopefully that patch comes back to life.

Thank you and good bye!

Stephen Johnson

The idea of building a website with Bob came from Stephen in the days of message boards and chat rooms. We settled on the name and the rest is history. Retired since he hit the ripe age of 25, he spends most his time doing odd-jobs around the house and digging thru trash bins for "stuff that's still good." Stephen has contributed several short stories and hosted the "Lunatic Ravings" column since the beginning (1999). The idea of writing weekly columns came from Stephen before blogs or blog sites ever existed. So, I guess that makes him THE FIRST BLOGGER IN THE WORLD!!!
