What is This?!

What’s all this, then?

You get a nice library of strange stories and weird fiction that’s been accumulating since 2000. You also get access to Short Attention Span Stuff; comics and memes. No strings attached here…we don’t sell anything.

Browse around, read a story or two, see what you think. Follow us on twitter and you’ll get an update when there’s new or featured fiction and a sample of memes and comics.

So who pitched in, in the past?

Lots of folks!

We’ve posted stories from all types of creative people, from published authors who wanted to promote a new book, to young storytellers who’ve written some fiction but never shared it with anyone. Writing for an audience of one can be demotivating. AlarminglyStrangeStories.com stops your hard work from falling in the abyss.

What’s NEW?

The Alarmingly Strange Stories page now has excerpts from all the new stories featured this year. You can still navigate by category.

We added “More by (author)” links on the top right side of each story page. So if you like the authors style or sense of humor, you can scroll to the top and see other stories he/she has written. You can also add the authors name in the search box.

So where’s all those stories you were talking about?

You have to go to the Archives to see past submissions.

The following is presented on a “need to know” basis, so if you feel you “don’t need to know…” please stop reading here. —> The old site was built page by page on good ol’ fashioned html, so the transfer process is one page at a time. So far we’ve listed stories from 2000 to 2005. Still in the works…2006.
Random Info —> In 2007 we switched to a data base driven system which allowed us to import 2007 – 2018. The selection is limited for that date range as our popularity decreased during those years.

Shortly afterwards Stephen and I started writing weekly columns and have continued to this day.
