I am sure that everyone remembers that first kiss.
I don’t mean the first time your lips touched another’s…
But that first genuine kiss, when sparks ignited,
and all at once, two souls combined albeit momentarily.
Chances are that person is out of your life now,
Perhaps even thousands of miles away…
Yet, that memory shall live on for always,
just as strong as ever, and you shall cherish it.
And you wonder if they remember it as you do,
If that kiss you shared had the same wondrous intensity,
That it is a memory they treasure, and hold close to their heart.
Or simply allowed it to wither and ultimately fade away…
