The Journey To HR, Part 73!

Since the airport was only around ten miles away, I knew I would be able to get here in a few minutes.

And I did!

I walked around the airport for a bit, just checking things out.

Then I went back outside and boarded a courtesy bus.

It drove around for awhile, picking up passengers and dropping others off.

When I got bored, I exited the bus and found myself in a rental car lot.

I checked out some of the cars and then noticed the tag hanging off my left index finger.

$1.99.

That’s what was written on the tag.

“What does that mean?” I asked myself.

I couldn’t figure it out so I ran back to the airport.

“What does this mean?” I asked numerous people while pointing at the tag.

Nobody wanted to answer.

They just looked at me as if I were a loon.

I finally gave up and sat down on the floor.

Many, many people passed by and I just sat there pointing at the tag.

I guess they were too busy with their own plans to care about me or the tag.

Suddenly, there was a scream.

“IT’S AN ORB!” someone shouted.

I stopped pointing at the tag and looked around.

Heading towards me was Star Child Two.

The sight of it caused quite the ruckus and a slight melee.

I smiled.

I went back to pointing at the tag as Star Child Two drew near.

Stephen Johnson

The idea of building a website with Bob came from Stephen in the days of message boards and chat rooms. We settled on the name TheWeirdcrap.com and the rest is history. Retired since he hit the ripe age of 25, he spends most his time doing odd-jobs around the house and digging thru trash bins for "stuff that's still good." Stephen has contributed several short stories and hosted the "Lunatic Ravings" column since the beginning (1999). The idea of writing weekly columns came from Stephen before blogs or blog sites ever existed. So, I guess that makes him THE FIRST BLOGGER IN THE WORLD!!!
