To fully grasp most of the stories I write, it is necessary to look for the underlying symbolism. My stories, for the most part, are metaphors for the world that I live in. I see the world in terms of power. The truest expression of self is the expression of power -- power over self, power over one's environment, and power over others. In the real world, power is an intangible thing, detectable only by its use.
