| . "Get rid of her Justin, it's your only way out! Otherwise you might get caught, and we can't let that happen, now can we?" said Daria. At that everybody started talking at once and I couldn't hear what any one of them was saying. Then suddenly they were all gone. Sometimes, as quickly as they appear, they also vanish. I was once again left alone in my room, contemplating what to do about the situation. I can't remember a time when I didn't hear the voices. But I know that at first there was only one or two, but there gradually came to be more and more of them. They all had different personalities and were easily distinguishable from each other. Although I was very troubled by this at first, I quickly got used to these "people" and adapted to having them around all the time. Since I didn't have any actual friends, at least I could share my life with them. It had never crossed my mind to tell anyone about them because I knew they wouldn't understand. Nobody understands me. Some people think I am weird, and others are just afraid of me. Most people are scared off by my appearance and all of my piercings and tattoos. Paul was the one who told me to get them so that I could show the world how different I was from them. I guess it worked. However, this would all be fine if they hadn't become so demanding. Jeremy and Kevin were the first ones to try to manipulate me. They became very hostile when I wouldn't do as they asked, so eventually I just obeyed them in order to make everyone happy. However, with their help, I had realized that they only wanted the best for me, and so it was in my best interest to let them control my life. So when Harold told me to burn down the house next door, naturally I did it. I didn't have any problem with this, but the person who saw me do it probably did. That is why I had to do as Daria instructed me. She said if I didn't get rid of the problem, then bad things would happen. But I was running out of time. Although I didn't see anyone around when I was doing it, Frank says that a girl named Cindy was watching me. Frank also has the uncanny ability to see into the future, and he knew that by 8:00 p.m. that day she was going to tell someone what she saw. "Do it Justin! Do it now!" Daria suddenly screamed. "Remember you only have a few hours left!" . |
