Song in my head:
"Everybody, move your feet and feel united,
ooohhh, ooohhh, yeah..."
- Junior Senior -

Well the song in my head isn't exactly a work of art, but I like it. I bought the Junior Senior CD and I must say, I was disappointed. But that one song was worth the $10. Besides, music I like isn't always good, musically...sometimes you just like it.

Usually my column is filled with mad-cap sillyness, but since I've been sick for over two weeks with a nasty cold - doubled up with a sinus infection, silly stuff just ain't comin' into my head. So I'll just write about what's in my head.

Over the weekend I was scanning AM radio stations in Omaha NE, just to see what kind of shit is on AM radio. I mean what do they have to offer? The signal is usually poor and it's not in stereo. Well I found a lot of talk radio. I stumbled upon a radio station called KFAB. I remember they used to be the shit, back in the day of AM music stations...now they try to sell themselves as "News Radio."

But all I found were uneducated "Yi-ha's" that talked to loosers on the phone and gave uneducated opinions about all sorts of crap. If you had ever read a newspaper, or read a book, you would find most of their opionions lacking background information to support their "6th-grade edu-ba-cation" level opinions.

One one particular show I heard the announcer support the concept of cutting back benefits for military personnel in order to save money. I thought that sucks ass. Especially now that we're in a never ending war. I mean soldiers are dying in Iraq everyday and the republicans want to save money at their expense...that just sucks. What made this talk show particularly bad is the announcer said it's important to save money so we can divert more funds into the "immigration problem" right here in Omaha, NE.

According to this guy at KFAB, the illegal immigrants are responsible for the rising crime rate, crowded prisons, and they are raping and killing your women and daughters on a daily basis. Of course he didn't have any factual information to support his hate-propagands, so I assume he must be a Republican.

Apparently this guy hates Mexicans so much that he is willing to give US soldiers the short end of the stick to support his hate. I think this sucks. Folks shouldn't listen to K-K-K-FAB. If you want news on the radio, you should listen to NPR's "All Things Considered" (National Public Radio). They back up opinions with factual information, instead of trying to excite the masses with unsupported hate-propaganda. And that's all I got to say about them.

And about them Mexicans. I heard someone say the other day that social security won't be around when they get old because of...them damn Mexicans. They come to this country, get on welfare and now there will be nothing left for decent white folks. I guess that fact that the total population generation X, is way smaller that the actual number of baby boomers has nothing to do with it. Example, if you have, ten generation X'ers supporting thirty baby boomers on social security, my guess is there won't be enought to go around. The math is simple, Mexicans have nothing to do with it. If anything, you want more Generation X age immigrants working
and paying taxes to help pull the weight of the baby boomers. Prejudice people can be so stupid it's amazing.

That's not all, another person, the same week, stated that the Mexicans moved to Lexington, NE and stole all the jobs with cheap labor from decent white folks. Now Lexington is all Brown. Ok, skin-heads. If you gotta hate Mexicans, then you really should make up your mind...are they taking all the jobs, or are they're all on welfare. You can't have both you morons

Speaking of unsupported propaganda, Bush's invasion of Iraq seems to be a complete failure in every aspect. Much like K-K-K-FAB, he excited the masses with the fear of "Weapons of Mass Destruction," which was unsupported by any factual evidence. It's amazing how stupid the American public can actually be. All he had to do is keep saying over and over that there was a threat, and after a while folks started to believe him.

Then the Vice-President goes on "Meet the Press" and says the Iraqi people will welcome Americans with open arms and resistance will be very low, once we show up. All you have to do is read a book to know he was dead wrong. You don't need "spys" reporting the public pulse in Iraq, you didn't need top secret investigations. All you needed to know was a little history.

The last puppet regime set up by Great Britain almost a century ago, was dismantled as soon as they left. The "British-Appointed Leader" was publically be-headed, and they went back to Muslim rule. It seems obvious to me, by past history, that this is a nation of people who aren't looking for white folks to, "help us, help you." They pretty much want to run their own show, so however long it takes us to set up a new government, the end result will be the same; whether, it's 10 years from now or 50, they will dismantle whatever we set up and start again. This always has been and will alway be a complete waste of lives, effort, and money.

But it's too late now, the damage is already done and we are there...I don't think there is a solution at this point. It's like the cold war. We poured billions of dollars into an arms race, and eventually the positive changes occured from within Russia itself. All that money wasted on fear. I guess we'll spend the next 50 years doing the same thing...wasting money to encourage a change that would occur with or without us.

But Bush's PR solution is simple. Realizing how easily the American public is manipulated, he is now simply telling us that we shouldn't honor or worry about all the US soldiers being killed every day, we should concentrate on the positive things.

"There are many positive things happening in Iraq." See? No examples, no real information...he'll just have his PR people tell the news that statement over and over and over for about three months, and before you know it - things really aren't so bad!

At least that's what everybody will think.

Sleep America...sleeeeeep.

And now you know!

COMING NEXT: A new kid in town!
